Briarwood Estates surrounds three lakes: Spring Lake, Briarwood Lake and Fisherman's Lake. Fisherman's Lake, a favorite spot for Briarwood anglers, is approximately 20 acres. Briarwood, the largest of the three lakes is 90 acres. Many homes adjoin this lake, providing a gorgeous landscape amidst the thick array of trees. Spring lake is the lower lake, at 5 acres, and is a little harder to access. Still, owners find it a nice retreat for a quiet day out.

The beauty of the countryside calms you as you leave the business of the day behind. Kick back on your boat, take a walk, see the geese and ducks from your porch. Welcome to the official website of the Briarwood Action Association!

Please be patient...our website is under development. The Board of Directors of the Briarwood Action Association (the organization of all Briarwood property owners) is committed to keeping the community informed and involved. The board is a group of elected individuals who serve Briarwood by keeping the day-to-day and year-to-year business going. Board members are volunteers, meaning they are not compensated or reimbursed in any way for their time. The community is invited to board meetings, the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the De Soto Rural Fire District building (see announcements for updates or changes).

The purpose of this website is to inform and to invite participation. So...whether you are a property owner, resident, or are considering making Briarwood your home, welcome! Please explore our links to learn more about what is happening in this beautiful community. Let us know what you think of the new website by emailing us at the link below (suggestions welcome!). Use the same link to contact a board member with your concerns, questions, suggestions or comments. Of course, you may always contact the board via phone at (636) 586-1755 or via mail at 1 Stonegate Drive, DeSoto, MO 63020. Thank you for your time and interest!

Play in Briarwood Briarwood Lake is home to the beach, where your family can spend the day swimming, playing and building sandcastles. Boating is also a favorite activity, as is fishing on all three lakes. Catfish, bass, perch and bluegill abound. (Beginning soon, anglers will be asked to help with lake management by keeping a log. See the link on the side). The park is perfect for grilling hotdogs and having a leisurely picnic. A volleyball court is nearby so the kids (or kids at heart) can have a quick game.
Socialize in Briarwood Family day in the park...a fall hayride...a Briarwood Ladies Auxiliary meeting...a simple walk around the neighborhood visiting with friends and neighbors...a quick chat at the bus stop while watching your kids play a game of tag. What a great place to share your time and friendship with some great people.
Serve in Briarwood There are many opportunities to serve the community, including but not limited to the elected seats on the board of directors. Any interested community member may volunteer to serve on a committee with board members. The Briarwood Ladies Auxiliary is another venue, which is dedicated to community improvement and beautification. The ladies sponsor a community clean-up at least yearly. The kids and teens of Briarwood serve as a major part of this workforce that makes us all very proud.
